"In my life there were many changes in these years. Three years ago I moved to Los Angeles. It was my dream. I decided to go there because there is a great artistic movement there. During these years of absence I was able to inspire myself through experiences to create.

"The songs on this album were created in many parts of the world. I traveled to Finland, places that inspired me and put me in the right mood to compose. We were full of feelings. We took song by song and each one gave her her time, we asked ourselves what each one needed, because we tried to make them perfect."
"In this disc you will hear a rise and fall of emotions. We do not leave out the sound that characterizes us or that dark and melancholic side, but there is more than that is a reflection of what personally lived by each one, however, with those experiences we grew and now we can see it more clearly.
This is the ninth album, it seems that the more I write the older I do, it is very important for me to write stories, experiences. During these five years there were many changes. I felt anxious for a long time, but the emotions were very good to be able to write. Being able to translate it into songs also helped me to cope and get out of those internal conflicts. Once we get over these feelings, we're back," he says.

E come avevo detto in precedenza, Your Forgiveness, Ghost Of Love e The Fight ascoltate dal vivo sono tuuutta un'altra cosa; davvero bellissime, sono saltata dalla gioia al termine di Your Forgiveness, è come se l'avessi ascoltata x la prima volta a Milano.

Poi verso le due e 10 abbiamo sentito un trolley che correva; fuga da Alcatraz, quella scena mi ha fatto sorridere tantissimo !!! :lol:

Lauri Ylönen: "The new album 'Dark Matters' will be released on October 6th, and this album is a bit different, basically the lyrics and melody are typically The Rasmus, very emotional, and with many melodies, dense letters, and in the sound this time we try different things, there is a track called 'Wonderman', and I think this is our heavier music with two basses pulsing with the guitar Riff and on the other side we have songs like 'Nothing', which is very Pop even with a modern sound I would say, and we are combining that."

I: "Now about your career, and I really like to ask that question, different bands, different styles, what show to remember and what show to forget and why?"
Lauri Ylönen: "A show in South Africa, about 8 years ago we did with Metallica, 3 nights, because we are very fan of them and the reason I started playing the guitar at age 13 were them Metallica, and finally after of 12 years to find and play on the same stage was sensational. And the worst show.."
Aki Hakala: "Putz, for me the worst show is the one that has electric loops, and you get 4 times.. you lose energy.."
Lauri Ylönen: "I remember it, it was in Finland, it was a song 'Stranger'. We started to songs, 3, 4 times, it started and puuuuu, it started dã dã dã puuuu, and everything turned off."
Aki Hakala: "In a show our bass player, he looked at me and I said, go there, he okay, we were in a wax show of 2 thousand people, and he picked up the guitar and kept playing for the people, with nothing electric, and sometimes we skipped in the audience and play there is the solution, the show must continue."

I: "If it were up to them, how would they categorize themselves?"
GERARD: "This is probably every bands answer, but we really categorize ourselves as a rock-and-roll band. I always like to use the term 'neo-death' to describe it because it's kind of like this new wave of death rock which is a genre but I feel like that's just a part of us, to be a death rock band. All of our stuff's about death and I don't see that really changing. I mean it's positive too, it's very positive music. It looks at death in both the negative and positive aspect."
