1.) "What is the reason for starting your solo project? Was there a situation where you think that is the right moment to start your own project or was you inspired by Lauri to start your project?"
"There has always been bits and pieces that i felt has "something", that never found home on any of my projects. I started to have fun in the studio with friends and jam these ideas and i started to get deeper and the pieces started to form to songs. "perhaps the band should have been called "The Leftovers" - haha!!!
Yeah, so we really started from leftovers and then more and more new music started to pour from the inspirations.
I also wanted to use some bits from already released songs, that had completely different vibe at the moment of creation. For example "amber eyes" was first to come with the guitar part and verse that turned in to The Rasmus "mysteria". I listened both of the songs and felt that they are made from the same root, but oh, so different and it would be sad if people would never hear them both. there is more coming of this type soon."

2.) "In which way do you find your lyrics? Is the music in your head before you start to write a song or have you a thought about a sitatuion and then you start write lyrics?"
"Mr.Quicksand. Had the story of childrens imagination first then then translated to music around the lyrics. - i was in Finland at summer cottage and watched my son play with his cousins and there was so many monsters, heros and princesses and so many other things that only kids can see. its so beautiful how kids can create complete imaginary world in any situation..."
"Destiny. I was watching documentary about Donald Crowhurst and was inspired to write the "pacific" - music to his story. I was pondering about the lyrics and surfing the net to read more about him and i found his log books. i decided to use lines straight from his writings. its lunatic lyrics, just as he became one."
"Amber Eyes. The music and the lyrics came at the same time to this one. Story roots in to native American poetry."

3.) "Mr.Quicksand was your first video. How did you feel on your first video when it was created? Is it an other feeling as in a band to create a video?"

4.) "Now your music is available on dgtlnative.bandcamp.com. How have you find this page?"
"It's nice to be able to provide fans the good quality audio files. It's the 1st time i try this kind of webpage service, so i dont know much about it or how it actually works yet."

5.) "Do you know what think the bandmembers of the Rasmus about your solo project? Do Aki, Eero and Lauri support you and in which way?"
"We are like brothers, we all have our own projects separately also. Eero has already been priceless support."

6.) "You plan to release your CD if you have found a record Label. Is there any News about the status of your CD?"
"I've been now enjoying the complete freedom of any kind of label or other decision making than my absolute own. Of course now this is all super small now, so hopefully in the future we could find a way to promoto the band more, so people can find it more easily."

7.) "Your videos are very professional and looks very good. Lauri make his videos with Dream Media, have you a official Director too or a good friend with the know how to make your videos?"
"Oh thank you, DGTL videos are very different from commercial professional videos. Our video budget is basically 0€ but we try to provide food for the friends whos helping us. I (Pauli) have written all the video ideas and i have also been the cinematographer shooting and directing the videos. With exeption of "mr.quicksand" which Eero (the rasmus) shot and co-directed with me. (a trillion thanks to Eero!!!)"

8.) "Can you tell us about your 4th video?"
"I love the song and i cant wait to release it to hear your opinion ! hopefully the video comes out ok also... I try to get it ready as soon as possible."

1.) "Qual'è il motivo per iniziare un tuo progetto da solista? C'è stata una situazione dove hai pensato che fosse il momento giusto per iniziare un tuo progetto o sei stato ispirato da Lauri per iniziare il tuo progetto ?"
"Ci sono sempre stati parti e pezzi che ho sentito avessero 'qualcosa', che non hanno mai trovato casa in nessuno dei miei progetti. Ho iniziato a divertirmi nello Studio con alcuni amici ed abbiamo provato queste idee ed ho iniziato ad andare più a fondo ed i pezzi hanno iniziato a trasformarsi in canzoni. 'Forse il gruppo avrebbe dovuto chiamarsi 'The Leftovers', haha!!! Sì, così abbiamo cominciato dagli avanzi e poi sempre più nuova musica è iniziata ad arrivare dalle ispirazioni.
Volevo anche usare parti da canzoni già rilasciate, che avevano un'atmosfera completamente diversa al momento della creazione. Per esempio 'Amber Eyes' è arrivata prima con parti di chitarra e versi che si sono trasformati in 'Mysteria' dei The Rasmus. Ho ascoltato entrambe le canzoni ed ho sentito che avessero le stesse radici, ma oh, sono così diverse e sarebbe stato triste se la gente non le avesse ascoltate entrambe. Ne arriveranno altre di questo tipo presto."

2.) "In che modo trovi i tuoi testi ? E' la musica nella tua testa prima che inizi a scrivere una canzone o pensi ad una situazione poi inizi a scrivere il testo ?"
"Mr.Quicksand. Aveva la storia di immaginazione di bambini in principio che poi si è tradotta in musica intorno al testo. Ero in Finlandia al capanno estivo ed ho guardato mio figlio giocare con i suoi cugini e c'erano così tanti mostri, eroi e principesse e così tante altre cose che solo i bambini sanno vedere. E' così bello il modo in cui i bambini possono creare un completo mondo immaginario in qualsiasi situazione..."
"Destiny. Stavo guardando un Documentario su Donald Crowhurst e sono stato ispirato a scrivere la musica 'pacifica' per la sua storia. Stavo meditando i testi e navigando su internet ho letto di più su di lui ed ho trovato i suoi libri. Ho deciso di usare delle frasi direttamente dai suoi scritti. I suoi testi lunatici, proprio come è diventato una persona famosa."
"Amber Eyes. La musica e il testo sono venuti allo stesso momento per questo brano. La storia ha radici nella poesia nativa americana."

3.) "Mr.Quicksand è stato il vostro primo video. Cosa hai provato sul tuo primo video quando è stato creato ? E' un'altra sensazione rispetto a quella con il gruppo per creare un video ?"

4.) "Ora la vostra musica è disponibile su dgtlnative.bandcamp.com. Come avete trovato questo sito ?"
"E' bello essere in grado di fornire ai fan dei file con una buona qualità audio. E' la prima volta che provo questo tipo di servizio web, così non lo conosco abbastanza o non so ancora come effettivamente funziona."

5.) "Sai cosa pensano gli altri membri del gruppo sul tuo progetto da solista ? Aki, Eero e Lauri ti sostengono in qualche modo ?"
"Siamo come fratelli, abbiamo anche i nostri progetti separatamente. Eero è già stato di un supporto senza prezzo."

6.) "Hai in programma di rilasciare un tuo CD se riesci a trovare una casa discografica. Ci sono novità sullo stato del tuo CD ?"
"Ora mi sto godendo la completa libertà da qualsiasi tipo di casa discografica o altre decisioni realizzando tutto da solo. Naturalmente questo ora è tutto molto piccolo, così speriamo che in futuro potremo trovare un modo per promuovere di più il gruppo, così le persone possono trovarlo più facilmente."

7.) "I tuoi video sono molto professionali e sembrano molto buoni. Lauri realizza i suoi video con la DreamDayMedia, hai anche tu un regista ufficiale o un amico che sa come realizzare i tuoi video ?"
"Oh grazie, i video della DGTL sono molto diversi dai video professionali commerciali. I fondi per i nostri video sono praticamente pari a 0€ ma cerchiamo di fornire cibo agli amici che ci aiutano. Io ho scritto tutte le idee per i video e sono stato anche colui che li ha diretti e girati. Ad eccezione di Mr.Quicksand che Eero (The Rasmus) ha girato e diretto insieme a me. (un trilione di grazie a Eero!!!)"

8.) "Puoi dirci qualcosa sul tuo quarto video ?"
"Amo la canzone e non vedo l'ora di rilasciarla per sentire la vostra opinione! Speriamo che anche il video verrà fuori bene... cercherò di finirlo il prima possibile."

La biografia del gruppo DGTLnative dal fansite Therasmus-music.

"Pauli Rantasalmi is the guitarist of the Rasmus band. He start the Project 'DGTLnative' in 2013. He has release with the band three songs:
Mr. Quicksand - Destiny - Amber Eyes - Underwater
The songs are written by himself. In These Songs is Pauli's voice at the background. Pauli plan to release a CD but they are looking for a record Label. The CD will be called "Born Digital" in the future. The band is from Singapore and Finland."

Non so, le canzoni sono orecchiabili ma a me non piace molto la voce della cantante. *Poi ognuno ha i suoi gusti.*

I: "What was your inspiration for creating this new project ?"
Pauli: "I always have had too many artistic ideas about music, picture and movie and not enough projects get them out. This project is great for giving space for different kind of ideas than what I usually been doing and since I'm not professional movie director. This is also really good way to rehearse making music videos and most of all...having great fun with friends."

I: "Have you ever thinking of coming to Mexico with this project ?"
"It would be fantastic to come to Mexico with this project, I have a feeling that Mexican people understands this kind of art and it would be a blast. But in reality, I don't see it in near future, since this project is so small still."

I: "How do you define the musical style of your new project ?"
"Hmm, very hard to give easy answer, since it's beat of space reggae to pop, from indie rock to hip hop...seems like it's very mixed of everything, don't know if it's good or bad..."

I: "Will there be collaboration with other artists ?"
"Oh, I haven't really even thought about that, but that would be really great fun !"

I: "How came the idea for 'Amber Eyes' and as you have felt about being in something completely different The Rasmus?"
"'Amber Eyes' was first and then came The Rasmus song."

I: "What do you think is the main purpose of this project ?"
"The main purpose for this project is to have fun for now and spread positive feeling."

I: "How do you feel about the good acceptance of the fans of The Rasmus to your project ?"
"I'm very happy if people like this art !"

I: "When launched for sale is your disc and may easily get everywhere ?"
"Unfortunately we have no idea yet when or even if we gonna do a cd, disc or how the release should take form, but I'm sure we will find a way that suits this project eventually."

I: "What was the exact moment that went to your mind this project for the first time, were about to sleep, listening to a song you at some ride, etc ??"
"The exact moment that first time went to my mind for a long time and slowly developed to this."

Pauli: "Ho sempre avuto troppe idee artistiche sulla musica, foto e film e non abbastanza progetti per utilizzarle. Questo progetto è grande per dare spazio a idee diverse rispetto a quelle di cui di solito mi sono occupato e dato che non sono un regista professionista. Questo è anche un buon modo per provare a realizzare video musicali e soprattutto...divertirsi molto con gli amici."

"Sarebbe fantastico venire in Messico con questo progetto, ho la sensazione che i messicani capiscano questo tipo di arte e sarebbe una favola. Ma in realtà, non lo vedo in un prossimo futuro, poiché questo progetto è ancora così piccolo."

I: "Come definisci lo stile musicale del tuo nuovo progetto ?"
"Hmm, è molto difficile dare una risposta semplice, perché sono ritmi dallo space reggae al pop, dall'indie rock all'hip hop...sembra ci sia molto un misto di tutto, non so se sia positivo o negativo..."

I: "Ci saranno collaborazioni con altri artisti ?"
"Oh, non ho davvero neppure pensato a questo, ma sarebbe davvero molto divertente !"

I: "Com'è nata l'idea per 'Amber Eyes' ed hai mai sentito di essere qualcosa di completamente diverso dai The Rasmus ?"
"E' arrivata prima 'Amber Eyes' e poi la canzone dei The Rasmus."

I: "Cosa provi a proposito della buona accoglienza dai fan dei The Rasmus per il tuo progetto ?"
"Sono molto felice se alla gente piace questa arte !"

I: "Quando uscirà il vostro disco e potremo prenderlo facilmente ovunque ?"
"Sfortunatamente ancora non abbiamo idea quando o persino se faremo un cd, un disco o come il rilascio dovrebbe prendere forma, ma sono sicuro che troveremo un modo adatto alla fine per questo progetto."

I: "Quale è stato il momento esatto in cui questo progetto ti è venuto in mente per la prima volta, stavi per addormentarti, ascoltavi una canzone ad un certo punto, ecc ??"
"Il momento esatto in cui per la prima volta mi è venuto in mente è accaduto molto tempo fa e si è lentamente sviluppato in questo."

Pauli: "I don't have any real model for writing a song, and like if I take a guitar to my hand or go at a piano, nothing usually happens. Just some while ago happened like, that I made a song when I was driving a car from Nosturi and just started to hum a song. Halfway driving home I started to think that 'hey this is a very good song, what is this ?'. But I couldn't find out what is was so I thought that this must be my song. And then I had to sing it for all the way home so I wouldn't forget it, and then I drove as fast as possible and sang all the time that song. And then I ran to my studio to record it."
"Non ho un vero e proprio metodo per scrivere una canzone, e se per esempio prendo la chitarra o vado al pianoforte, di solito non accade nulla. Pauli: "We've like always been absolutely crazy guys, and drugs have never had anything to do with that, and not alcohol. We haven't been crazy because of having used narcotics or anything, but because being crazy is just so enormously cool !! And still it's very great to our band that we're travelling around the world and no one of us is using for example cannabis or anything... just no drugs. Alcohol we may sometimes have, but for example now we've had non-alcohol tours."
