I: "What is your favorite disc song? What is the meaning of the CD cover, and why is it the other way around?"
AKI: "It's very difficult to say what my favorite song is from Dark Matters, if I had to choose one it would be Silver Night, our current single. It represents the softer side of the album. I also really like Empire, it's the one that comes right after Silver Night. Besides, there's Wonderman and.. It's always so hard to say just one.
The cover of the album is in fact a photo that was taken for the video of Paradise. Lauri is walking through a burning door. Someone (it was Pauli or Lauri?) Said, let's turn it around, and we think yes, that's it! There is great excitement in this image, leaving the old behind and a fresh start."
I: "What did you like most about your visits to Latin America?"
AKI: "That little tour was fantastic. We had very little free time to go on tour. So we decided to make the presentations just before we went into the studio to record Dark Matters. The main point was that we wanted to play in front of a large audience to remind us which songs work best, and also absorb some energy and good vibes from you. And that's exactly what we received. Maybe that feeling has been captured in some way on this new album."
